Hypnotherapy for OCD - Crumlin

What is Obsessive Complusive Disorder

Obsessive compulsive disorder is a mental health disorder that can affect anyone at any stage in their life.

Obsessions are unwanted and intrusive thoughts images or urges that are cause extremely distressing feelings.

Compulsions are acts that an individual engages in to try to rid themselves of the obsession and decrease the stress that comes along with it.

Using solution focused hypnotherapy we work to reduce the amount of stress the sufferer is feeling by accessing the subconscious. In doing so we help the person become more in control of their obsessive feeling and compulsive behaviours.

Most people go through periods of feeling down – this is totally normal. However, when you are depressed, you do not just feel down. You can feel extremely sad and helpless for weeks, months, or longer. A lot of people do not understand depression and feel that it is not a real health condition. They are wrong. Depression is a very real, and at times life-threatening illness.
